tested this on a sunny/cloudy day, and it does a really good job. Its gets tinted enough

One shield does it all

Great shield. Always the perfect amount of tint. No need to change shields or wear sunglasses under a clear shield. Cost might seem a little high compared to other shields but is on par with a quality pair of impact resistant sunglasses.

Excellent Shield

I bought this shield specifically for the transitions feature. I love it. I works perfectly. No more changing shields when the sun goes down. Expensive, yes. But worth it to me. High quality, scratch and fog free shield that changes tint depending on sunlight conditions. Frankly I see no need to buy anything else.

Great Product !! no more need to carry two shields. Transition is fast and efficient. If you have a helmet, this is the thing to own. It's the next generation of shield.

Expensive but does as advertised

I've had the Transitions Shield for about a month and a half and I am very satisfied with this product. I sometimes look in the mirror of my bike when I'm not moving to see how dark it gets. Overall it gets pretty dark but sometimes I need to squint when there is direct sunlight but, 99% of the time it's smooth riding. On a long day of riding I don't have to worry about taking two face shields with me. It's just one and I'm satisfied with that. I just wish it were a little darker tint but that's just a mere niggle on an otherwise super product! Buy it, you won't regret it. About that price though....

Transitions shield

As a comparison, I previously wore a Scorpion helmet and used their photochromic shield. Their shield was "OK" when new, but Transitions shield is "very good." I wish it would darken just a bit more, however, the reactivity is excellent. Very pleasant when wearing the helmet; you really don't notice the change in tint. My eyes are always "comfortable" with the level of light transmission. The shield does its job very unobtrusively. I hope the "transitions" reactivity lasts longer than the Scorpion shield (about one year), which barely darkens at all, now. Great shield! Highly recommended.

Nearly perfect

Been using this for a month and it works great. If it were just a hair darker under full sunlight, it would be perfect, but it's dark enough to get the job done. Perfectly clear in low light / nighttime situations, so that makes up for it. It's awesome not having to switch out shields or fumble around with sunglasses. Highly recommend.

Absolutley Amazing

My best purchase ever! Simply makes riding much more comfortable and everything works exactly as claimed. Highly recommended. I see price is an issue for some but Transitions sunglasses glasses go for $200+. Shield is guaranteed for 2 years and that is a deal if you ride often.

While the shield isn't cheap, it is well worth the price. Great optics and it's nice to have one shield that will work in both day and night.

It is wonderful. You will not believe how easy it is to pop the shield off and put it back on. Its wonderful to not have to carry sunglasses with you everywhere you go. The shield adjusts to the sun automatically and most of all it looks great!!! I would recommend it to any and everyone!!!Damn! Why did I live so long without it?Damn! Well worth the cost!

I absolutely love this visor!! No more burning eye balls or sun glasses jammed into my brain bucket! I work nights so having this visor is really convenient. I dont have to switch to the clear for my night time commute or switch back to the dark for the morning or try to get comfortable with my sunglasses in the helmet. This one visor does it all. Though it could be a little darker for the early morning it suits me just fine.

Great Shield!!

At first I saw the price but still took my chances.... I am so glad I did!! No more swiping shield to ride day and night. Just ride! Is also a High Definition view through the shield that lest you enjoy how thing's really look.

Photo Shield

Although a bit pricey, this shield fits perfectly, darkens and lightens perfectly and eliminates the worry about what to do at dusk or dawn for eye wear. No complaints at all .... other than pricey.

I was hesitant to pay for the Photochromatic shield, but once you have it and use it, then all is good. It works very well.

The conveience is nice

This shield is expensive but it's worth every penny. When this shield turns black it makes the helmet look awesome. The lucidity of the lens is amazing when it turns dark and there is no fogging. I would recommend it to anyone this is an option for you.

Great product

No more carrying two shields! I have had mine for about 3 months, I work nights so it is light when I go in and get off work, but at lunch it dark outside. It's clear at night and during the day it gets dark enough to ride any time of the day.

Worthwhile purchase

I usually don't buy extra accessories, especially not an expensive shield, but I decided to pull the trigger and I am very happy with it. I often ride after work when the sun is high, and come back in the evening/ night time and so this shield has just the right amount of tint all the time. As the sun slowly drops it slowly transitions to clear. It does not get quite as dark as a lot of the smoke shields, and it certainly does not have a mirror effect from the outside, but it's not supposed to!

Best Shield on the market

I bought this shield for a recent trip. The Transitions is without a doubt the best shield I have ever owned. The only drawback I could find was when going through the tunnels it did not lighten itself quick enough. Since I also wear glasses, it was no problem for me to just flip it open.

Great

If you have the extra money then go for this. Great during bright sunlight. No need for sunglasses. But don't expect to stare at the sun. Just make sun bearable in your face. Very little artifacts/ glaring at night compared to other photochromatics.

Transition Shield

The Photochromatic shield works real nice. Quick changing. I can do with out sunglasses 90% of the time. Early morning sun can be a killer. But It does make those full moon ride nice. Start out at 6:30 pm and end at 10+ pm. The shield makes it where I don't need to worry about dark spots on the road or the run going down and storing my sun glasses. The shield handles it real nice.

Loving it

Just finished a 7000 mile loop with this shield. I don't think I will ever be satisfied with any other shield. Worked great.

Works great

The Transitions photochromatic shield works as advertised. I was a little skeptical about its ability to darken enough on sunny days. I have a pair of photochromatic Wiley-X sunglasses that don't get dark enough in my opinion. But, I took a chance and ordered this face shield. I am pleasantly surprised that it works very well. It is too much of a pain to carry around two different face shields...one clear, one dark. So, I really wanted a solution that could adapt to the amount of light I was riding in. This shield fits the bill and I am happy that I took the chance and ordered it.

Pricey but worth it.

Title pretty much says it all. The visor does exactly what it's supposed to do. It's very convenient to only have the one shield, you don't have to have the dark one for day and carry around a clear one for the night, and no more uncomfortable sunglasses in the helmet.

Good Buy Overall

Well I have been riding with this shield for about a month now. Overall it works exactly like I expected. Installation takes about 20 seconds. The tinting works fine and changes dark to clear, or clear to dark in about 90 seconds, it's an awesome shield and does exactly what it's

great visor!!!

Tested out visor today, and it does what it says it does. Was clear on the way out the door, and when I hit the sun it "smoked up" nicely. Very good resolution and does a great job of eliminating glare from the sun.
