YZF-R125 - Inspiratie geniala Este timpul sa pornesti la drum, sa te bucuri la maximum de viata cu Yamaha YZF-R125, opera acelorasi ingineri care au creat legendele supersport YZF-R1 si YZF-R6. In 2001, Yamaha lasa neexploatata piata sportivelor de 125 cmc, accesibile pustilor de 16 ani si, prin alte tari, soferilor cu o vechime de cel putin doi ani, compania nedorind sa se mai implice in dezvoltarea unor motoare poluante. Lucrurile s-au schimbat intre timp, si liderii categoriei 125 nu mai sunt sportivele cu motoare in doi timpi, ci motocicletele cu motoare in patru timpi, mai economice si, mai ales, mult mai ecologice.
Motorul monocilindric de 125 cmc este racit cu lichid si dispune de o distributie cu patru supape. Alimentarea se face prin injectie electronica, iar transmisia dispune de un ambreiaj umed si de o cutie cu sase trepte. Micul propulsor ofera maximul de performante admis prin lege pentru aceasta categorie, adica 15 CP. Sistemul de evacuare cu toba laterala triovala il evoca pe cel al surorii de 600 cmc, iar cadrul din aluminiu poarta si el o denumire legendara in casa Yamaha, Deltabox. De mentionat ca Delta I, II, III, IV au constituit de-a lungul timpului adevarate vitrine tehnologice pentru Yamaha si nici bascula din aluminiu nu se lasa mai prejos.Anvelopele au dimensiuni serioase, 100/80-17" pe fata, respectiv 130/70-17" pe spate, cu o aderenta superioara, care a impus folosirea unui sistem de franare Brembo, cu un disc frontal de 292 mm si etrier flotant cu doua pistoane si disc posterior de 230 mm.
