Clutchless gear shift
As you pull out on to an open stretch of road and ease on to the throttle, one flick of your thumb shifts the FJR1300AS up a gear and you're away. The YCC-S (Yamaha Chip Controlled-Shift) clutchless electric gear shift can by operated by your foot or thumb, but either way it guarantees an easy ride on long journeys.
Powerful, 1,298cc, 4-cylinder engine
The FJR1300AS is powered by the same strong engine that moves the award-winning FJR1300A. The 1,298cc 4-cylinder engine unleashes massive performance - a huge plateau of easy-riding torque, and a velvet-smooth 143.4 PS top-end. It's all the power and reliability you need whether you're eating up the autobahn or taking on narrow lanes.
Fully adjustable comfort
On a long tour, you want to enjoy the ride. The FJR1300AS has a full range of quick, easy adjustments for tailoring the ergonomics to every ride. Fix the seat height and handlebar position to suit your mood. When the weather changes, flick a switch to alter the screen height, and if it's a hot day, adjust the air-management system to cool down.
Adjustable suspension
Long tours can present you with all sorts of road surfaces. There could be immaculate tarmac, cobbled side streets, pot-holed lanes or dusty country tracks. If the road surface changes or you've just picked up your passenger, tune the remote-adjustable rear suspension to keep the handling totally sharp.
