Even before you put the key in the ignition and start the engine, you can tell that the brutal-looking FZ8 means business. The slant-block engine and ‘mass-forward’ body design give this mean-looking naked bike an aggressive stance and serious street presence – and its athletic image is reinforced by the jet black engine and frame.

R-series inspired 779cc engine

Featuring a short stroke layout, the FZ8’s 779cc liquid-cooled inline 4-cylinder engine kicks out a gutsy band of torque for strong acceleration from lower revs. And with its R-series heritage, this forward-inclined powerhouse is designed to deliver serious high rpm performance whenever required!

Aluminium Deltabox frame

Don’t confuse the FZ8 with some other naked bikes that deliver more show than go! Equipped with a lightweight, high-rigidity Deltabox frame, this motorcycle is a serious piece of kit that’s been designed to deliver supersport levels of stability and agile cornering performance.

Roomy ergonomics

Once on board this musclebike you’ll find that the FZ8’s ergonomics are remarkably roomy. The specially-designed footrest/handlebar/seat layout makes for a low-stress upright riding position. And for enhanced rider comfort the 17 litre fuel tank features a slim rear section.

Optional ABS

The FZ8 is available with ABS for added rider confidence. This advanced anti-lock braking system is fitted to a number of Yamaha models and prevents wheel lock-up by monitoring sensors in the hubs and adjusting braking forces accordingly.
