To celebrate Yamaha’s 50 years of success in Grand Prix racing, we’ve created a special edition 50th Anniversary design. Based on the famous red, white and black colour scheme featured on our MotoGP-winning factory bikes, this dynamic new look makes the TZR50 even more desirable!
Aerodynamic bodywork
Take a look at the sleek aerodynamic bodywork of the TZR50 WGP 50th Anniversary, and its strong R-series influence is clear. Just like our bigger supersport bikes, the TZR50 is equipped with stylish fox-eye headlights – and for superior performance the slimline bodywork combined with the tank-seat position gives a sporty, tucked in riding position.
Slick-shifting 6-speed manual gearbox
To get the best performance from the responsive 2-stroke 50cc engine we’ve equipped the TZR50 WGP 50th Anniversary with a big-bike type 6-speed manual gearbox. Whether you’re riding on busy city streets or out on the open road, the slick-shifting gearbox allows you to choose the right gear to suit every situation.
Liquid-cooled 2-stroke 50cc engine
Powering this TZR50 is a compact and lightweight 50cc 2-stroke engine which has been developed using Yamaha’s race-bred technology. For strong and consistent performance through the rev range this responsive powerplant features liquid cooling. Furthermore, the lightweight supersport-type exhaust both looks and sounds great.
Slimline dual seat
To match its compact bodywork the TZR50 WGP 50th Anniversary features a slimline stepped dual seat. The rider’s section has a narrow front end to allow you to tuck in close to the bike for improved aerodynamics – and for extra support there’s a step at the rear. And with a grab bar and flip out footrests, passengers can be sure of a comfortable ride.
R1-style instruments
R-series technology is evident throughout this high-specification 50cc gearbox, and the instrument panel has been inspired by the advanced design featured on the legendary Yamaha R1. With a big centrally-mounted analogue tachometer and LCD speedometer, this stylish instrument panel displays the information you need.
