Genesis® 4-stroke High Output engine

The Fuel-Injected, 3-Cylinder Genesis® 4-stroke High Output engine is designed to Snocross competition standard, with no gear reduction and massive bottom end power. While a lightweight crank and motor management system combine to provide instant throttle response, E.B.R.S. adds a 'gliding' sensation when the throttle is released.

Double wishbone front suspension geometry

Double wishbone front suspension offers more trail and relaxed caster. This gives the FXNytro 153 greater bump handling on the trail - heading in and out - as well as on off-trail. Dispensing with a sway bar saves weight, while the snowmobile maintains excellent sidehilling performance and deep snow handling.

ProMountain® Air rear suspension w/Tip up rails

The lightweight semi-coupled rear skid frame uses two specially designed Fox Float air shocks to eliminate the need for heavy torsion and coil springs. Fox designed the FLOAT 2 XV with an added cylinder for extra air volume, which essentially increases the spring rate capacity of the shock.

Camoplast® Maverick™ track

The Maverick™ track was developed jointly by Yamaha and Camoplast®. The track uses a durable single-ply design with a 7.62mm pitch that allows extra snow to pack in between the lugs, for a firmer grip. Varied lug design and profile provide even greater traction, no matter the snow conditions.

Fox® FLOAT™ 2 XV rear shock

The rear suspension uses a Fox® FLOAT™ 2 XV shock on its rear arm. This shock features an external air chamber that provides additional air spring capability, making it possible to eliminate the need for heavy steel torsion springs. This industry leading air shock is a result of close collaboration with Fox®.

Fox® FLOAT™ 2 front shocks

Fox® FLOAT™ 2 shocks use an air spring that forces the piston to rebound - doing away with the need for heavy steel coil springs. Compared to conventional springs, they make significant weight savings. A pocket-sized air pump is supplied, allowing you to tune each individually and set up the front suspension according to your preferences.

18° track approach angle

With Air rear suspension, you reap the benefits of an 18° track approach angle - getting your snowmobile on top of the snow quickly, for exceptional deep snow action.

Tall, wide, hooked handlebar

The chassis naturally puts the rider in an aggressive yet comfortable forward posture - and a single-piece, dual-hooked handlebar complements this pose. For consistent control, the hooks and main bar section are the same grip material. The centre grab strap is designed with Backcountry riders in mind and is perfect for sidehilling.
